RETURNS, EXCHANGES, AND OTHER POLICIES.

Shop Policies

Returns and Exchanges

This return policy applies to all items sold by three fates yarns.

Every store I dye i unique, even when I dye in them in batches. Please note that some variation in colors is normal; this is part of the beauty and appeal of kettle-dyed yarn. I do my best to ensure that colors are accurate on my iphone, but my phone model and monitor may be calibrated differently than yours.

If you wish to return an in-stock item that you purchased, please contact me within seven days of receipt for a refund, exchange, or store credit, minus the original shipping charge and a 5% restocking charge. Yarn must be in its original condition, and cannot be wound or washed. Custom orders, yarn club orders, seconds, and sale items cannot be returned.

Items purchased in-person at a show may not be exchanged or returned after the end of the show.

I regret that I cannot reimburse original or return shipping costs except for items that have a defect.

Shipping

I have two types of items, dyed to order and on hand. On hand items include all roving, mini skein SETS, one of a kind yarns, and ombre and gradient sets. Those items are typically mailed out within 7 business days.

Dyed to order yarns may take up to three weeks to get out the door, but if it is going to take on the longer end, I will get in touch with you promptly.

Please get in touch with me at: threefatesyarns@gmail.com, with the subject RETURNS. I will get back to you within seven days. Once I agree to a return, I must receive the item before I can give you a refund. Refunds will typically be processed within seven business days.

Items should be shipped to

Three Fates Yarns c/o Stephania Fregosi, 564 Rose St NE Salem, OR 97301. I cannot be responsible for items shipped without approval.

Designers
If you are a designer, I am happy to work with you, please message me if you are interested in design support.

Social Policies
I have no patience for racist, sexist, gender-normative, or other discriminatory behavior. If I see such behavior on the part of businesses that I work with, I will cease to do worth with you for one year and then any future relationship will be reevaluated. People and businesses can change, but the burden of proof will be on you.

Customers exhibiting such behavior in my booth or online platforms will be dealt with and reported to festival authorities.

Environmental Practices
Yarn and Fiber: Sometimes I buy a fleece or processed roving from the west coast or pacific northwest. I get it processed locally and dye it and bring it back to you. This may increase over time. I buy a new one when it's all gone.

Any new polwarth bought is an organic base. Any new falkland merino bought is sustainably sourced from the falkland islands. Both are available through Ashland Bay, an imported located about 60 miles from me.

I drive an electric car and take it to most in-state festivals. (FYI, the car is primarily charged at night.) I rent another car if I have to go to Seattle. All of the power at my home is purchased renewable energy (a very small amount is produced at the house), which means that we're supporting the expansion of the green grid.

Recycled Packaging
I reuse as many of the plastic bags that my products arrive in. That may mean an old label underneath a new one, or a slight tear in a bag.

I use reusable eco-enclose packaging that is made from 100% post-consumer waste. They have a second adhesive strip on them that makes it easy for you to reuse this bags.

Recycling
I have curbside pick up at my house for cardboard and paper.

Festival bags - I live in a state with a plastic bag ban. 95% of my customers here bring their own bags to festivals, but if they fill up I do have paper bags for use. If you are visiting from out of state, I recommend bringing your own!
